Report of socio-economic monitoring in Rivière Banane, Rodrigues
Objectives
To formalise and add to existing knowledge on fisheries and fishers attitudes; To collect data on status of fishery, employment opportunities for displaced fishers, tourism development and marine reserve user fees, investigation of zoning, and complement with data from other user groups; To establish baselines for future monitoring and evaluation as MPAs move from planning stages to implementation.
