Socio-economic assessment and monitoring of coral reefs Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park (MGMNP)
Objectives
1. To identify the stakeholders groups associated with MGMNP 2. Produce a socio-economic profile of each of the stakeholder groups 3. Gather information on level of impact of stakeholder groups the MGMNP,conflicts between stakeholder groups and levels of of awareness and perceptions of the MGMNP. 4. Provide recommendations to current management regime on linkages between the MGMNP and local stakeholders and possible management interventions to address impacts on the park, resolutions of conflict areas and stakeholder integration. 5. Provide recommendations for future mechanisms to assist management of MGMNP, including key parameters, information sources and networks.
