Launch of the new design for the ICRI website

Established in 2000, the ICRIForum was designed to streamline the delivery of information to ICRI Members and the general public regarding both the actions of the International Coral Reef Initiative and global coral reef conservation efforts more generally.  Over the years the Forum has grown exponentially, both in audience and as an information source.  This has at times made the site difficult to manage and navigate.

In January 2009, the U.S. Department of State (as then co-Chair of the ICRI Secretariat) generously provided financial support for a reorganization of the Forum’s content and design, creating a ‘new look’ for the website.  While there remains more work to do to smooth out the kinks, as well as adapt the archived information to the new format, we feel the time has come to “go live.”

Several things within the site may look quite awkward or in a few cases may not work at all.  We will continue cleaning up the Forum in the coming weeks and months, and we encourage readers to notify us ([email protected]) of any priority problems with the site.

Thank you for your patience and interest in ICRI and the ICRIForum.
