The Pacific Coral Reef Action Plan was endorsed by the 30th SPREP meeting on Wednesday 8th September, 2021. The Plan, which was compiled in consultation with Members and scientific and NGO partners, identifies eight priority action areas where regional cooperation can assist Member Countries and Territories to progress management of coral reefs which face multiple pressures. Please see the link below for the latest version of the plan.
The 30th SPREP meeting instructed SPREP to begin supporting the implementation of the plan in a cross sectoral and collaborative way. The first step in this work will be to consult Members to identify their priority needs for assistance to manage the threats to coral reefs and associated ecosystems.
